It was created by Cynthia Sass, a nutrition director for Prevention Magazine as a part of her Flat Belly Diet. The recipe itself is simple but the results are a refreshing beverage packed with health benefits.

What is in Sassy Water That Helps With Weight Loss?
One of the first lessons we are taught about nutrition is the importance of drinking water and staying hydrated.
Start with a pitcher that can hold at least 2 liters of water. Add in grated ginger root, fresh mint, sliced cucumbers and sliced lemons. Use a drink muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon to crush the ingredients together. Fill up the pitcher with water and refrigerate before drinking. That's it, I told you it was simple!
What about Smoothies?

In order to better understand why these points are counted, I want you to imagine the ingredients for your smoothie in front of you. If you were to eat all of those fruits, vegetables, yogurt, and juice separately, you would be snacking for an extended period of time and it would take up more volume in your stomach. However, when you squish it all down and consume it in one shot, it does not keep you as full for long.
